A contact lens evaluation is separate from your comprehensive eye examination. During this evaluation, the doctor assesses the health of your eyes and determines the contact lens design, curvature, diameter, and material best suited to your visual needs and lifestyle.
Whether you are interested in daily disposable lenses, multifocal lenses, lenses for astigmatism, colored contact lenses, or specialty lens options, we take the time to customize a solution that provides optimal vision, comfort, and eye health. Our office fits virtually all major contact lens brands, including daily disposable, multifocal, toric, rigid gas permeable, scleral, and specialty contact lenses.
Our office has a particular interest in multifocal contact lenses and frequently helps patients who have previously struggled with contact lens wear—or have been told they are not candidates for multifocal lenses—achieve successful outcomes. Many patients are surprised to learn that advances in lens technology now allow them to enjoy clear vision at both distance and near while reducing their dependence on reading glasses.
In many cases, a follow-up visit is scheduled approximately two weeks after your initial evaluation. This allows the doctor to assess your vision, comfort, and the health of your eyes while wearing the lenses and make any necessary adjustments.
Our experienced staff provides personalized instruction on the insertion, removal, cleaning, and care of your contact lenses. We are also happy to assist patients interested in cosmetic colored lenses for both light and dark eye colors.
